Blending Better Ingredients for Success
Jovan’s Pure Nutrition Organic Gluten-Free Crackers were being hand-made in a pilot size kitchen and distributed in local co-ops throughout the Northwest. The recipes needed refinement to facilitate expanded distribution and to maximize consumer acceptance.
Four different cracker recipes were modified – for operational ease and consistent quality; all fresh ingredients were converted to dehydrated ingredients. To maximize consumer acceptance, the spice blends were adjusted to reduce heavy reliance on basil and garlic, and achieve a more rounded flavor profile. Organic ingredient suppliers were sourced and qualified.
