With industry experience since 1990, both as a food scientist and an executive marketer, Bev has developed innovative food products and marketing strategies for both Fortune 50 and regional food, beverage, and dietary supplement companies. For the past ten years, she has focused exclusively on developing “clean-label” food products as well as developing successful go-to-market strategies for small businesses and start-ups in her hometown of Seattle and around the world. As a part of the Nutrition Capital Network Selection Committee, she mentors young companies as they prepare for investor pitches.
Beverly started her career as a food scientist with Kraft General Foods and later moved to Nalley’s (division of Pinnacle Foods). After earning an MBA from Seattle University, she took over National Marketing efforts for Da Vinci Gourmet, partnering with Procter & Gamble’s Millstone Coffee brand, and eventually assumed the position of Director of Global Consumer Health Care Marketing for Banner Pharmacaps, where she helped brand new drug delivery forms as well as leading corporate nutritional and pharmaceutical marketing objectives. As Director of New Product Development at Barlean’s Organic Oils, she led her team in the proprietary commercialization of OmegaSwirls, an innovative and award-winning, shelf stable delivery form of Omega-3s.
